Ignorance.....?

What I mean is, Ignorance is not a bad thing, especially when one is eager to learn and progress.

Not knowing something. I'm ignorant about many things. Like the makeup of a jet engine. Ignorance is not bad unless you need the knowledge and refuse to learn it

The first one can't really help. They can try to educate themselves, but unless they know of the specific issue to research, they'll probably never come across it. We're all ignorant in more ways than we'll ever know.
The latter is the one that kills me. With all the major issues in the world, you'd think that we'd do whatever we could to help- especially when there's not a huge struggle. But it's not that way. People just don't care. And there couldn't be a better recipe for destruction...

Ignorance: lack of knowledge in something, therefore not able to take any action in that field
example: You don't know what situation is in Darfur, thus you cannot do anything to help it.

Ignorance: knowing something but still deciding to not take action in that field
example: You know the situation in Darfur but still decide not to help it.

That is ignorance.. aka our worst enemy on this planet.

"Ignorance is not knowing. Stupid is knowing and doing it anyway."

Ignorance befits someone who is uneducated, unaware and/or uninformed but sometimes what you don't know won't hurt you. For example, she decided not to read the critics' reviews--ignorance is bliss. Although its truth may be dubious at best, this idea has been expressed since ancient times. The actual wording, however, comes from Thomas Gray's poem, "Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College" (1742): "Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise."

Going on my definition, if the shoe fits, wear it. You can apply this application to anyone.

Ignorance is refusing to recognize facts I know this Yankee fellow who knows all things and he doesn't really have a lick of sense.he wont listen.to reason. if I prove him wrong he says I am lieing, if I show him on the computor or a book the facts he says there wrong.people who think they know everything dont know nothing.just because people dont know everything is not being ignorant. no one knows every thing. its when you dont wont to know anything else. That you think you know enough, then your ignorant.By the way calling someone a Yankee is not an insult.they call me a rebel. I dont take that as being an insult.Peace.

Please write your comments if you find any one of the above as the correct definition of ignorrence.
